Is there anything I can do (besides buying a different size) to stop the movement? I had three pairs of Tibets in my possession back in the spring (thanks Amazon) and these in size 12 felt the best. Now I notice some movement in the heel and that is while being laced tight with a medium thickness smart wool sock. This is what will cause blisters I believe.

I haven't gotten any blisters yet but really haven't put them through the ringer either.

Try a different insole. The change in fit with a new insole might make the boot cup your heel better

Thanks. I called Lathrop and Sons and I'm gonna order new footbeds.

I was never able to get any of the Lowa offerings to lock my heel regardless of the insole or sock combo. Really nicely made boots though, just not for everyone.

I used to manage shoe stores in the mall. A trick that you might try is to really cinch down on the top of the arch and then instead of going up and across to the next rung up, go straight across to the opposite side and then up to the next speed lace. The Tibet have a cam lock at the top of the arch which should help, but you might find doing the step I said will lock your heel better. Good luck!

If synergy insoles are trimmed as recommended they provide somewhat of a cup for the heel. You just need room in the boot to accommodate the insole material.

I played with different thickness of insoles to get my heel to fit the heel cup correctly.

Thanks for the tips. I hunted a fairly steep area the other day and didn't notice much heel lift. Still gonna order the Synergy footbeds though.

Do blisters develop fairly quickly if there are fitment issues or is it something that shows up after a few miles?
