Can anyone speak to a few questions I have in regards to a mounting a Zeiss Conquest V4 4-16 x 44 (30mm tube) on a Sako 85 Finnlight .300 WSM. Just purchased this gun. I'm a novice rifle hunter and I'm obsessivley maticous, so I need some help.
Mostly due to asthetics, I would prefer not to use Sako ring mounts or the Opti Lock mounts. I prefer matte (Sako does not make) and not blued finish. However, if that's the best option for performance, then I'm fine with it.
I would like to use the Zeiss mounts, but they only mount to a picatinny rail. I found a product that may seem to work made by Contessa Picatinny rail for that gun. Any good?
How about the Leupold mounts for this gun, any good?
From what I can tell, it seems that I sound use Medium mount is where I want to end up. Picatinny rails seem to come in different heights measured in MOA. 0, 10, 20... What would the combination be between sizes and lengths of picatinny rails and ring sizes? Also, should if this picatinny rail is a good, should I buy the extended length?
Thanks in advance!!!!
