Mouth reeds

What do you keep your mouth reed s in and how do you guys store yours?

I went to a seminar by Wayne Carlton a few years back. He said store them in the fridge for the off season. I always for get and keep mine in my gear room with the rest of my crap. They last a couple years. I store them in the little carriers that they sometimes come in (like Primos ). I don't overthink it.

Usually keep them on the inside lip on my hat. Have always stored them in the refrigerator.

I try and save the little plastic baggy that they come in. And they usually stay in my pocket for a couple months after the season until I start using them again. I've never thought about putting them in the fridge, but they are usually in my truck along with my bugle, even in the "offseason".

I keep whatever 6-8 reeds I'm using most in one of these, the rest (unused) just stay in dark storage until I'm ready to replace one.

By the time the season is over I throw them away as they are well used and too stretched out. I'll go through a couple of them during the season.

I use a used plastic Cope can. Cleaned of course. I then drill holes in the bottom for air flow.
