I finally got my moose euro back and am looking for recommendations for a hook/bracket to mount it up. A surprise to nobody, but they are a LOT heavier than an elk skull. Ideally I’d like the skull parallel to the wall. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Get a good lag thread screw hook and predrill a hole in a solid stud, then run a 10" piece of cable through the backside of the skull and crimp it into a loop. you can adjust the length of the loop to where it will let the skull sit flat against the wall without hanging low enough to show the cable.

Snare cable through the skull. Use a better hook than this, but you get the point.

This way is handy. A guy that did the euro put it in years ago. It’s a sturdy lag bolt with an eye on it and bent perfectly installed in the skull with nut/washer. Then just hooks to a lag bolt in a stud. The cable is secondary in case it jolts off in an earthquake. This is a 66” bull and about the only thing I trust for a bull that large. I wish the guy was still in business, I’d buy a dozen of these from him and do all em this way.

I have an ultra mega that weighed 86lbs that is on the floor of my garage. I don’t know what the hell to do with it. I don’t trust the bone on the back of the skull to not break under the weight. Might just crimp snare cable around each base and hook it to two different studs in the garage…..
