I am looking to get a new winter bag... I'm planning on getting the montbell UL super spiral down 0 or expedition.
I need some advice or help with anyone who has/had a montbell bag.

I've read that they are not very long....(even the long version)
How accurate are they on temps? i've read quite a bit of mixed opinions on temp ratings. this will help me decide if i want the 0 or expedition weight.

I know a few of you guys on here use them, so maybe you could help.

I'm 6'4". I know on their website it says they will fit 6'6", but i've read otherwise. just curious if anyone has a long and could tell me if it'll have the length i need without "stretching" it. If not, I won't mess with one.

Thanks

I have read a lot of great reviews on their bags, but I was not a fan. I had the 0F long UL SSDH for a season and had to dump it. I have never been so cold at night in my life. I used in temps down to -5C (23F) and never had a good night sleep. I had to wear all my clothing at night just to get a couple hours of sleep. Yes it packs down small and is pretty light weight, but not worth it if I was going to be cold. I'll pack the extra pounds with my Taiga bag.

I have used them the last five or so years. The long version should fit, as I have both long and standard. I am 6' and fit in the standard, but no extra room length wise. The temps are a little hard to believe. I have the 0 degree and the 15 degree in the UL SSDH. I would say they both are about 10 degrees off on their rating.

I am just under 6'1" and the long version has a few inches to spare. I use my 30 degree bag with the MB sleeping bag cover/bivy and am good into the mid 20's without clothes but I am generally a warm sleeper. It is the most comfortable I have ever been in any bag (I haven't tried the Enlightened Equip quilts yet though). The bag outer is very thin, so I am glad I use the bag cover (this has saved my bag from a stove burn once and a bush/stick tear once...it is easy to repair the MB sleeping bag cover with a little silicone seam gripper).

I have had the Montbell zero bag for several yrs. the bag is extremely comfortable but I would agree the rating is off by about 10 degrees.
