Montana game camera laws

What are the laws regarding game camera use in Montana. I've got a half dozen old cameras from my whitetail club days and at least one plotwatcher type camera and I'm wondering if I can use them when I go to Montana this fall. Set them on some trails and the plotwatcher on a meadow is my thoughts but I don't know if they are legal during season .

Trail cameras are illegal during "any commission adopted season" so looks like you're out of luck. You can basically only use them during the summer here.

Sucks but you can't do it...

you can on private ground. Not in block management, game ranges, or public ground of any kind. Really starting in august when the antelope archery season opens is when you have to have them down.
