Modifying Head Handle

Anyone know how to remover the rubber end on a fluid head handle. Id like to remove it and shorten the handle.

Squirt rubbing alcohol under it and pull/twist it off or blow compressed air under it with a fine tipped air gun.

Literally just did this with my VA-5 today. Unless there’s an adhesive, just try to start peeling/rolling back the rubber. Eventually with enough twisting, it popped off.

Quick trim with a pipe cutter and it was good to go.
