Model 70 Scope Mounts

I have a new Model 70 on order, what scope mounts do you recommend? Will be putting on a leupold 30mm tube w/ 44mm bell.

Talley rail and Ken Farrell low rings.

Or talley steel bases and screw lock detachable rings. Some will knock vertically split rings, but the detachables work differently with less nutcracker effect, if any at all.

Talley lightweight rings is what i used on mine. Simple and effective. Leupold backcountry rings are also a great option.

My 375 has warne bases on to, my 30-06 extreme weather has leupold dual dovetails on it.

If you have alignment bars, Dual Dovetails are a great option also!

I just used a piece of a broken dowel rod. Gun shoots well under an inch with my hand loads.
