Mini keg as a carry on

Flying to Maui in a couple months and was looking at the mini keg as a potential carry on, have used the x ray in the past but no longer have it so.....
Anyone have real experience with flying with the mini keg?
Airline says 9x14x22 and kifaru list it at 9x11.5x29 I am assuming that is with the snow collar extended and could be rolled down to make it 22”

I called kifaru about this they said “check your airlines dimensions” but did say it will roll down to 22”

Thanks, I also talked to them but ended up getting an x-ray when they went on sale. I’ve traveled with one before and knew it would work!
