Mini emrII

I was wondering if I am the only person that wants an emr2 but in the size of a dt2. I know you can get a nomad and buy the camp bag. But I want one solid bag like a t2 or emr2 and not have to attatch a bunch of accessories.

Just a curious and completely honest question but what is wrong with just cinching up or not using all of the EMR2 as it is now?

Much more pack than i will ever need and I don't want to go crawling in to a cave to get my gear out. Just as people want a monster bag some of us want a smaller bag with the same design as the emrII.

They do make that......it's called a Timberline1 and you can get it with internal stays or put in on either of their frames.

If I had to choose only one pack for all my backpacking and hunting needs it would be without a doubt the T1.

They can call it the T1 II then I have the EMR II which replaced my T1, I like new the layout a lot better but would like a smaller version to go on my bikini frame for day hunts where the biggest load would be a deboned mulie with minimal gear. Any over night trip and the the EMR II on the duplex gets the nod.

Thats exactly the timberline bags and not the batwing system which I would want if they cut the cubic inches down to around 5000-5500

With the compressability of the EMR II, the Nomad/Camp Bag combo, and Kifaru's mind for modularity, I wonder if there would be enough demand to warrant production of a stand-alone pack like you describe?

My EMR II doesn't seem that big, and my last two packs were 44L and 70L. I would consider myself in the lightweight crowd of BP hunting, and with how small this thing compresses I honestly don't see a need for a little bit smaller main bag, it seems to pack best for me with the main bag about half full so it doesn't get too wide. The wings could be sized down a touch, but much less and they wouldn't fit anything.

Then they should only make the timberline 1 if having different sized same style bags doesn't matter. The problem with big bags compressed down small all the time is the fact you have to deal with all that excess compression straps. I am just saying if they had a t2 sized erm2 I would have one on order.

Ultimate day pack. That you can unzip and blow out when you shoot something.

Iv been missing a part of me since I sold my spike camp, but I want to wait for kifaru to redesign a hunting day pack! They have given us 4 different big packs now give us a few small ones.
