So i just ordered a steripen classic 3. My intensions where to test it out while turkey hunting these next couple weeks to make sure i like it. But this morning a thought came to mind, can you still get sick after purifying water from rivers and streams? Im in a agg. Heavy area so im more so womdering about run off from fields and more so chemicals not really about germs type stuff? Anyone have any experiences with that?

The way I understand it is the steripen will kill bacteria and virus’s. But it’s not a filter so any chemicals in the water are still in it. I would imagine you would need a charcoal filter to get some out like a Katadyn but even then personally I would be skeptical of it eliminating the chemicals in the water.
