Meopta MeoStar S2 Spotting Scope

I've been wanting to step up to a top tier spotter, looking at Swaro, Meopta, Leica, & Kowa. I found this scope on Amazon and was vacillating on buying this, but ended up buying a Swaro on eBay yesterday, so I thought that I would pass this on to someone here. This is a great buy, and it's Amazon Prime, so you're protected and if there are any issues, simple return process. It says "used", but from my experience, that usually means purchased and returned, or damaged packaging, either way, $1224 for the scope body is nearly $800 below retail.

That is a great deal for someone! I just bought a used one for about the same price. There's actually a 20-70x eyepiece, new, on eBay for $400 with free shipping right now, making it $1625. Sweet deal!

This scope has dropped in price, now at $1152, I'm seriously considering buying it and doing a side-by-side comparison with the Swarovski I just bought and then selling one of them for a profit!

And this eyepiece is still available for $400, total price for premium optics would be $1552, someone is missing out on a great deal.

Wow, that is a killer deal. I'm guessing you bought it because it's not available now! If so, let me know how the comparison goes side by side with the Swaro.

I didn't buy it, but you're right, it was an absolutely killer deal! I hope someone here on Rokslide bought it and will chime in and share their impression of the scope with all of us.
