Howdy. First post, but have appreciated the info available here for some time.
I'm becoming more and more interested in Kifaru's Megatarp. Appears that it has gone through some updates and now I'm not clear on how all the features work. Is the sewn in entrance closed by velcro or zipper? How does the annex attach? Does the annex come with a stove jack in it? Is the 21oz total weight (canopy, annex, stove jack) still accurate? How is the material different than silnylon? I've seen pictures of it pitched in very exposed high places, how does it handle wind? It's obviously shorter than a pyramid, but still has some large expanses of fabric. Looks to me like the wind might roll over it pretty well.
I have experience with many floorless shelters - canvas tents, silnylon mids and tipis, tarps - so that's no problem. The weight, available space, trek pole/stick pitch possibilities, and stove option have me very interested. I may have to sell off some stuff to make room for one. Thanks!
