Meat in the Freezer

Took this buck early rifle season in Colorado. Couldn’t locate the big bucks but coming up on the last day had to get some meat for the freezer.

I was always told that fire areas the fall after a fire are always very productive because of the nutrients in the grass. I think I remember hearing that there is something like 10x as much nutrients or protein in the grasses than in non fire areas. Could be wrong.

It’s no joke. I live right here where the Cameron peak fire is and it’s crazy. I grew up in Loveland and never thought a fire would come this close let alone travel that far from Cameron’s pass.
