I’ve looked many times and read several threads talking about the maven 1.2 being the only maven to pass the drop test. Though I never found any place where the 3.2 had been formally tested? I’ve had a 3.2 for several years and it went on many successful hunts. I had replaced it with a 1.2 for the 2025 season, but decided to put it through the wringer myself.
Let me preface this by saying I am by no means a great shooter, or am I trying to say I know what I’m doing!
I tried my best to follow the format from other drop tests.
Rifle specs are as follows
-bergara b14 hmr 6.5creedmoor (I know it’s not a tikka, I just had lots of ammo for this gun)
- action screws torqued to 55in/lbs
- Warne steel scope rings (20in/lbs cap screws, 25in/lbs base screws)
- MDT picatiny rail (bonded to action with Loctite 380)
- ammo used was Hornady 140 Eld-m
All screws and threads were degreased and installed with paint pen.
This gun is generaly around a 1.5 MOA
Here is a YouTube link to the drop test
