I changed my draw lenght from 30 inches to 31 and when i went to resite in my uv tape chagned from 11 to17. I am going to go reshoot tomorrow to confirm but this does not make any sense to me. Technically the arrows should be faster so i am a little confused why my tape would change so drasticaly to a slower tape.

for reference i went from a 70lb D module to a 70lb b 85% let off

Location of the peep would be my guess, if that wasn't adjusted when draw length was changed.

Something else had to have changed. Arrows get faster, not slower, when draw length increases, all else equal.

Would lengthening your draw length have the same effect as pushing your sight further from your bow? I know when I brought my sight in closer to the riser I had to move to a faster tape, all else being equal.

Good thought here

What range are you starting to dial your sight and have your impacts at TDC moved any?

Typically if the peep is not moved but the draw length changed the arrow impact will move the direction the peep moved in relation to the arrow ( the angle of the string at full draw changes when you change the DL thus the peep to arrow distance also changes ).

The distance from the peep to arrow at full draw is the biggest factor in sight range. The closer that distance the more the sight needs to move to impact the same spot at the same distance as a setup where the peep to arrow distance is greater.

I didn’t need to move it. It lined up well for my eye view

I would think if you didnt move your peep height but increased your draw length by an inch that would ever so slightly move your peep lower. I am not going to bust out my trig to prove it because I am lazy like that but I would think your string angle would change a with the draw length increase.

Your peep is now about an inch further back, sight radius has changed, your peep is also a little closer to the arrow.

If you had a long sight radius as it was, might not make a big difference, but if your sight is mounted in close to the bow an inch longer can change things a fair amount. As a sight gets further out, it moves further to make up the same gap. So it makes sense to have a "slower" tape, how much slower?

But it's also a little more precise.
