Masters of Barebow....

Looking to learn a few things and see where i can improve my game. Is the Masters of Barebow worth getting? Anyone got expierence with watching the video series and improving? Thanks.

Buy the volume that has Rod Jenkins on it and follow his advice. Better yet, if you can get to one of his weekend seminars, go to that. I'm lucky enough to live within 40 minutes of Rod's home and was able to get some 1on1 instruction which shortened my learning curve greatly.

How about you spend the 80 bucks and I bring the popcorn. That way you'll feel like you got more value for your money and I will encourage you to keep honing your skills. It's a winner for sure.

I've seen SHTF shoot. He can shoot circles around me. He's a pretty disciplined and inquisitive guy who keeps learning and adjusting. I was hoping to learn something from those CD's. Heck I just need to hit a pie plate sized target once a year at 20 yards. How hard can that be..... So James when is movie night?

Thanks already doing this and I know my setup very well. I am one with my bow. I want more I do well now but there is always room for improvement.

The Master 1 and 3 are worth getting. i've watched those many times, lots of good stuff.

As I recall; one goes over aiming techniques and 3 goes over form issues with RJ, Larry Yien and others- 3 is excellent and thebest resource I know of.

You're welcome! What I really like about the videos is that you're able to see many different styles that work well for that specific individual, then try that style for yourself. I felt that the most influential guy for me was Rod Jenkins. Super nice guy in person too!!! You'll see guys with a real methodical approach down to the grip it and rip it guys. In the end it boils down to what works best for the individual and this is an awesome way to see and hear many different, proficient, styles of shooting a stickbow.

I think many getting into trad start with that grip and rip and don't realize a methodical approach is really the best way to attain accuracy and consistency. Thats what MBB 3 teaches you.

Halfway through 2 now it's good stuff for sure 1 was more of a this is how I shoot and not a lot of instruction 2 gets a bit more Indepth can't wait for 3 I'm definitely an instinctive shooter for sure learned a few things already I didn't think about.
I struggle with snap shooting and consistently try not to do it so either pulling straight back and thumb to shoulder or the technique of keeping my hand planted on my face going to see which of those work better for me.
The guy who talked about peeking to watch the arrow I related to that also. Great stuff

My prediction.....you will watch 2 once.....and 3 you will watch over and over.

Even if you are shooting instinctive, its nice to have that reference point that the gap system gives you. Essentially, I see that gap as a starting point on my shot then focus on a small point shooting the rest of the shot instinctive. Having a reference point at the start of the shot has given me better accuracy at longer range. I think at some point, the gap becomes instinctive.
