Up for sale is a 1968 Marlin 336 RC 30-30 with a JM stamped 20" barrel. This is from the vintage you want, JM stamped barrel, better wood and no safety. This rifle is a solid 8/10 and cleaner than the majority I see from the same era on Gunbroker, the wood is clean with very few marks and the blueing is fantastic save a few light scratches with very little wear at the end of the barrel.
I dropped a buck with it from 87 yards with open sights a few years back, it's dead nuts accurate. It's all stock with the exception of a period correct extension on the hammer and a hooded front sight. Asking$650 SPF shipped.
