Anyone ever had knife or blade replicated by knife maker? Short story is it belonged to grandfather, it has no markings or maker identifiers on the steel, for all I know he could’ve bought it at the Walmart of the day.
Looks rough, but can get it stupid sharp and it handles well I also thought it would be cool to have like a modern copy of it?

GEC H110 Bowie they made a run of a couple years ago looks like a pretty good match. They’re very high quality if you can find one.

I am (used to be) a knifemaker. I got to where I would not take orders for custom commissioned knives because of the stresses involved with meeting promised delivery dates, meeting expectations, etc. I evolved to where I made what I felt would be functional and meet other's desires on my on timeline and all finished knives sold almost immediately as they were completed through word of mouth or frequent inquiries.

I say this because I think you will have a hard time finding a quality knifemaker to duplicate what you have. I suggest shopping for the closest thing you can find from a reputable brand with high quality blade steel. The design is fairly common so you should be able to locate something. Sorry, I don't have any specific knife or brand to point you to, though.

Best of luck.

It would be relatively easy to make a knife similar to this.
Cost from a maker would be something to also look into.
What are you willing to spend on a knife like this that some company can press out for a lot less than a maker will charge.
