Checked out the Magpul bipod. It’s very light, well built and priced to sell.

Very nice. Might have to try it side by side with my Spartan precision.

Is this actually available in stores yet? My buddy pre-ordered a Magpul stock for the Ruger American what seems like an eon ago and they still haven't released them. Kinda makes me hesitant to bank on anything new from Magpul being in my hands by hunting season.

Are there any pic rails that mount to sling studs?

All,

The delays associated with the Ruger American were beyond our control, in order to ensure proper fitment with the changes Ruger made to the American after its initial release. That said, there is finally some light at the end of the tunnel. I'm happy to report the Ruger American is finishing up testing and will be released shortly.

As for the Bipod, it had the benefit of not seeing the light of day until it was much further along in the development process and is also in final testing and will be releasing shortly. Both the Ruger American and the Magpul Bi-pod will be on shelves and in your hands with plenty of time to spare for your fall hunts...

Good to know!

My buddy has been waiting and wondering about his back ordered stock, and I've been wondering when this bipod was going to come out

I’ve been looking and watching YouTube video, but does anyone know if the picatiny version will be quick release where you can take it on and off?

Brightwhite,

The Picatiny version by itself is not QD capable; that said Kinetic Development Group manufactures a QD MLOK and Picatiny rail that in turn would create a defacto QD setup with our bipod...
