I've been eyeballing that unit for some time now, what has turned me off was quite a few negative reviews regarding excessive runout / wobbling of the tool shafts. I'm guessing that you haven't experienced this issue with your unit.

I’ve only done about 40 cases so far and they’ve been very consistent, if I remember correctly they held a .005”. The chamfering and deburring is super slick as well.

Thanks for your feedback,

I currently have the RCBS trim pro and really like it's precision, however it's a big piece of equipment, takes up a lot of space and is definitely a stand alone step in my case prep without a 3 way cutter.

The powered unit? I'm using it and am happy enough with it.

Pros:
  • Fast
  • Indexes off the shoulder
  • Consistent
  • Seems well made
  • Seems like a good value

Cons:
  • Hard on your fingers (I wear a glove)
  • Does not do chamfer/debur (I actually don't mind doing this manually after)
  • Out of the box, mine had some gear meshing noise which seemed to clear up after use

You had .005" of variance? That doesn't seem close at all to me...

I gave $112 for mine on midway using birthday deals. It’s done everything I’ve thrown at it from 300WM to 17 Remington. I’m sure I’m somewhere between 2k and 5k rounds. There is some gear messing noise as stated above but it hasn’t stopped it yet. The gloves help for long runs through brass as pressure point build from holding brass. For large amounts it’s a must.
