You have to appreciate turkey guns to appreciate this. These are difficult to come by. Remington made them from 1993 to 1997. It's an 1187 12 ga. mag. Special Purpose Turkey 21" barrel in original Mossy Oak Greenleaf. I was not looking for another gun and have never actively looked for one of these but I couldn't resist when I randomly came across this. It has an old turkey choke that I've never seen before.

I plan to remove the saddle and scope rings and use the original beads. Hopefully the saddle hasn't damaged the camo too much.

Very cool findl! I have a R700 in 30-06 from the same period has the same Mossy Oak camo pattern. You definitely need to kill a turkey with that gun this spring, Enjoy!

We'll hunt with it for sure. Both of my boys have already said "I'm killing a bird with that this year."

Removed the saddle and put 860/1187 pins in that I had but had to do some digging to find. There's a little wear on the finish due to metal on metal contact but I was expecting it.



The weather hasn't been nice enough to shoot but hopefully that'll change. March weather is always a toss up here.

Jam up shotgun you have there. I don't mind some wear. That way the dings y'all put on it don't hurt your feelings. She's already christened.

It is an old Preston Pittman .660. I don't recall them but best I can tell is they were manufactured through some connection with Stardot.






I'll put some lead and TSS both through her to see what I think once the weather clears up some here.
