I'm looking at getting a new pair boots and thinking about getting these. I'm just trying to get some feedback on fit as well as durability. I wear a 10.5 or an 11 depending on manufacturer so seeing if the fit is pretty spot-on or should I get an 11 to make sure.

Fit is spot on. And these are awesome boots. I've been trying boots like crazy this year and these are a really nice boot. Call Larhrop and talk to Steve he will get you lined out.

Great durability. I would say the sizing is pretty accurate but like other European boots they tend to run a little narrow IMO and you have to take into account for foot swelling. They have an ample toe box but if you are on the fence I would size up in length.

Check out www.shoebuy.com There is always a 15-25% coupon out there and you get an extra 10% for first time buyers

I wear a 12 wide in tibets. They run a bit narrow on me, and a touch short. In Meindl for instance I wear a 11.5 D.

I have been wearing Tibets for years, great boots. I normally wear a 10.5 shoe and wear an 11 Tibet, and them running a bit small is pretty well documented (Schnees used to reference it on their web site).

Thanks guys for the info. I'm thinking I might go with the 11 and see how that works out.

Just left REI and tried on 3 different LOWA's (not Tibets but helped me with Lowas fit) to see how they fit and definitely need an 11! They do run a little short. I'm glad I tried a few on.

I am working on getting a pair of Lowa Tibets. I normally wear a 13D, so I first ordered a 13, which was not long enough. I then ordered a 14 that was perfect for length, but it feels ever so slightly narrow, so I wanted to try the wide. I'm holding on to the 14, and I just ordered the 14 wide to compare. I have been working this all through Zappos, because it is free shipping both directions, so I am out nothing if I return them.

I have a pair of tibets. I got them in 2011. Love them, but my rand on my toes are cracking.. One boot has about 10-15 cracks and the other 2 or 3.

I haven't needed to size up in the Lowa light hikers, just in the heavier boots (Tibet/Hunter).

How stiff and supporting are the Lowa Tibets compared to the Hanwag Alaskans ?

I believe the Tibets are like the Sheephunters or Hunter GTXs just 8" tall vs. 10" tall (Tibets are basically 2" shorter). I have used and still use both the Lowa Hunter GTXs (Sheephutners) and the Hanwag Alaskans. I believe the Lowas feel a bit less stiff than the Hanwags. Which makes sense as the Hanwags are full shank and the Lowas are 3/4 shank. Both are great boots and can't really go wrong. My 1st pair of Lowas are pretty wore down on the tred and what not, but still use them for flat land stuff like moose hunting and what not where I'm not logging a bunch of miles each day. For mountain hunting I am equally happy with hte Lowa Hunters and the Hanwag Alaskans. Just flip a coin and decide if I'll benefit from the 10" tall boots or 8" tall is usually what decides what take on a given trip. Both fit my feet equally well.

Hope that helps.

Below is pulled from the Lowa site re the Tibet. The Hunter GTX is taller and also has insulation.

Great info Duk Dogs

Wonder why the shorter Alaskan feels stiffer to me than the taller Hunter then if they are both full shank.
