Lowa Tibet soles falling off, anyone else?

My Tibet's soles fell off when the material it was bonded to started to crumble. a pair of Lowa shoes did the same, I was told that their life dependency was at best 6-7 years. that might seem like a long time but they were in other wise great shape. How are the rest of the boots with similar designs holding up? I elk hunt in central Montana late season so I want a good boot. Thanks for your input
