looking to upgrade my optics.

Hey guys,
I want to upgrade my optics this year. I have a good pair of 12x binoculars, but am looking to upgrade my spotting scope. Im looking to spend around $2,000 maybe a little more, maybe less. my main question is, would it be dumb to get a, say vortex Razor for $699 and look for 15x or 20x or just go with a better spotting scope?

Kinda depends on how/where you hunt, but overall I'd say buy top shelf stuff the 1st time around. If you're happy with using your 12x binos then I'd drop the 2 G's on great spotter.

Yes it would be since you have 12's, spend it all on a good spotter.
