Looking for a tent

I've been traveling and living out of my camper for about 8 months now, in Arizona now. Now that I've got my feet wet living out of the camper in Colorado national forests, I want to take the next step and pack into wilderness areas for a few days at a time to do some shed hunting and enjoy the outdoors. I am traveling with my dog, a 50lb hound/beagle mix. He's fine anywhere as long as he's with me, but I'm hoping for a 3-4 person tent to have some space. I do have a nice pack frame to lug everything around with. Price range is $200-$250

Any suggestions? I'm also in the market for a sleeping bag that's good down to te 30's, somehow lost my other one in my camper, still baffled by that one. Any suggestions for anything I may need are welcome, thanks.

I did the same thing this past summer down here in SW Colorado.

Is there a specific tent you're looking for? I've got a couple of tipis. Both can be used with or without a floor and one has an option to use a stove.

This time of the year you have the option to be able to dig down into the snow and stay warmer with a floorless shelter.

Thanks for the REI link, I like the half dome 2 plus, really leaning towards that.

Now time to determine if I want a cot or pad to sleep on. Probably a pillow of some sort too.

The SS2 Tarptent will give you some more headroom and provide all the room you need at minimal weight. I like a 3.5" thick EXPED UL9 mat, EE quilt and Wiggy's pillow myself. A self inflating thinner/short pad for the dog would be fine.

I'm not planning on starting until late March here in Arizona and work my way back to Colorado as the weather changes. I was just thinking a traditional tent, never really considered camping on the snowy areas.

Here's the tent I'm looking at right now, but I don't really know much about tents besides what reviews say.

I have that tent I might be willing to part with. I think its that same one. In the box still
