The boss on the ranch I work on has sprung for some more gong steel. I'll extend my meager 700 yard range out to a mile. Gongs every 100 yards to 1000, and then 1200, 1500 and 1760. He had me order steel this morning... 4-5 days to cut it, and then I can pick it up in Denver and set up the extended part.

I would rather scatter them at random distances, but a lot of the guys that come to shoot, don't have rangefinders and most just shoot from the bench.. I set it up to be easy for them.....

How big are the gongs you're shooting? I've got a 10" that I like shooting...but it starts to look pretty small at 700+

6, 8, 10, and 12" rounds to 400.12x16 rectangle at 5, 18x18 to 1000. 30" squares at 12, 15 and a mile. Can't make it too tuff on the visitors.....

Sure. If you wanna work for $10 an hour..... I got all the target stands lazed in, posts pounded and chains and spreaders installed this weekend. I'll toss up a pic when I get the steel hung....
