I'd just like to thank the mods for taking a proactive stance and locking the "not looking for honey holes" threads this spring. This public land hunter appreciates it!
I don't think removing the unit is necessary if the thread gets locked. I don't see the issue with people answering questions in PMs.Any threads I find with unit numbers I edit and delete out the numbers. We can’t stand it anymore than all the other members.

Yes really. I agree with the rest of your statement above. If someone's first post is asking for unit help just go ahead and ban them.Really??
So we take action on one of the biggest complaints since I’ve been around, and it’s still not good enough?
I am referring to some one who creates an account and first post thread title and post has unit numbers. Historical data shows most don’t come back. Locked or not, it’s out there on the Internet forever.
I am not referring to an active member who contributes and understands the need for discretion.
Send me a pm and I'll put on flat brim before throwing you a bone.So when I draw an awesome UT tag in a few weeks I can post for help?
Don't forget your too tight HUSH t shirt.Send me a pm and I'll put on flat brim before throwing you a bone.

We are removing unit numbers from thread titles that get bumped to limit future exposure.I don't think removing the unit is necessary if the thread gets locked. I don't see the issue with people answering questions in PMs.
I appreciate your guys hard work. please do this to the hawaii threads too please. joe rogan hushin john dudley and the internet has ruined what little hunting options we have left. Here's my personal approach
Welcome to Rokslide. You should take an opportunity to look around a bit and you'll find this community is pretty awesome.
Now unfortunately we aren't letting FNG's (new guys) post up unit specific questions. Any unit question/answers remain out in the world wide webs forever, which can doom some really great spots.
Rokslide's administrations expectation is that all long standing Rokslide members will understand and support this concept and take all such conversations to private message.
Yes it's a hassle to join and be part of this community but the rewards are worth the effort including the ability to send and receive private messages.
Hope to see you active in the forums, and good luck on your hunt, that's a really good tag
