My Mathews No Cam made a weird noise while drawing the other day. Found a sliver delaminated from one of the upper limbsnear the anchor end. Never dry fired, no external damage. I put these limbs on last year, went up from the 60lb to 70 (70 28). I think they were new but not sure, both the 60 and 70 came with the bow used several years ago. Seems strange that it would crack while drawing and not at the shot. I'm shooting at about 62 lbs, 450 gr arrows, 28.5" and 85% let off. Have ordered a new one but don't want the same thing to happen. Any ideas?238C2793-66D1-4895-9664-65A68761DA6C.jpeg

Lots of things could of happened here. No real way to pinpoint the cause. Most limbs will delaminate on the draw since that’s when they are under the most load.

Luckily for me my limbs delaminated while I was getting a new string at the bow shop. Now I am just waiting on new ones to arrive from the manufacturer free of charge to me.

Talked to my local shop and they think it must have been defective. No sign of any other damage anywhere and I know it's never been dry fired. At least Mathews still has replacement limbs for it.
