Looking for recommendations for a lightweight scope for a MDT HNT26 chassis rifle. Tikka Lite 30/06. For elk hunting in Colorado. I am comfortable taking a 1st shot out to 500 yd. Prefer to dial for elevation. Thanks for your suggestions!

Depending on your budget, the popular options would normally be a Maven RS1.2 2.5-15x44, SWFA 3-9x42, Trijicon Credo/Tenmile, or a NF NXS 2.5-10x42. I quite like my Maven RS1.2 that I got recently but it all depends on your definition of "lightweight".

Swfa 3-9 19.8 oz
Swfa 6x 21.3 oz
Swfa 3-15 22.72
Maven rs1.2 24.5

Of those I’m taking the 3-9 or 6x depending on rifle. I’m looking at which to put on my 18”tikka 22 creed at the moment as I have both on hand.

I have the vx5hd on my tikka with proof barrel and hnt26 and it rocks. 3/15 with HTMR mil reticle. With the Magnus S RR suppressor it’s still under 10lbs.
