Leupold cds failures?

Anyone had bad luck with the Vx3i series with cds? Looking at a 4.5-14x40 30mm tube for a proof research elevation. It seems like a nice weight and magnification for a mid range hunting gun .

My vx3i has been dead on every time. Very happy with it. However I would probably looking at a much higher end scope for a rifle like that if it were me
