I just purchased my first MRAD scope (SWFA 3-15x42) and I want to learn how to use it, and the MRAD system more broadly. I've been a lurker on some of the MOA vs. MRAD threads, and I've read the SH thread by @Formidilosus (https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/12454714/1)on how to use a new SWFA (well, at least to page 7 when I got sick of some of the tangential comments). I've also dug around in RS to get some ideas.

My questions:
  1. Apart from RS and the Google, is there a great primary source (books are fine) to serve as a great baseline?
  2. I found this simple list (https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/12454714/1) by @SomeJackassOnAForum helpful. Are most using Strelok?
  3. I saw Form used a Leupy Mk4 spotter with H32 reticle. I don't shoot as much as him, but would welcome any input on a decent spotter to consider (especially if it can be used for hunting as well). I'm currently just using a Vortex Diamondback 20-60x60 that's been sitting around for a long time, and it doesn't have a reticle.
Thanks in advance!

The reality is you should be more worried about reading wind than dialing for elevation.

I count that in the Google. And I’m not a fan of having to watch videos - at least as the sole source of a baseline.
