On our second call set of the morning, a bull and a cow came into our "Triangle Calling" setup.
My friend was the back caller [nonhunter] and my son and I were the shooters.

My son shot his first archery elk - a nontypical bull in velvet and I shot the cow.
What a day! They fell within 200 ft of each other!

That's so cool. I remember a hunt where my dad and I shot mule deer bucks within minutes of each other while sitting together. Your son will remember this forever. That's awesome!!!!

I can't imagine what that bull would have looked like in about 3 years. Crazy antlers. Looks like 2 main beams on each side? He would have been a smoker for sure. But luckily for you he didn't make it that long. Good job. Congrats.
