Would a grab-it II or something similar work to put on the front? Just ordered this for my whitetail bag, my pintler was just a bit too clunky in a tree. TIA for any info.

I'm actually going to make a compression panel for my Venture 1800. I think it would be really useful. I don't know of an off the shelf solution that would work with the pack. The buckles are fairly specific and hard to find. There are 3/4" ghost hooks on the bottom that could be used for compressing the panel instead of the pack. The pack also comes with two extra sets of compression straps that I'm going to use to make the compression panel. They are 5/8" webbing, which is a fairly uncommon size, which once again leads to the issue of finding an easy solution. I'll let you know what I come up with.

I had the venture 1800 and it worked great for whitetail hunting. I’m not sure a grab it would work with some ingenuity. I did hook a k2 weapon holder to the bottom loops so I guess it is possible, may be some slip in the connection. What i did that may help is I took the compression straps off the lid and hooked the the the webbing rails on each side so I could strap climbing sticks, coat, etc to the back of the pack.

I haven't had the pack in my hands yet but the webbing did look small. I have a friend that has a grab it so he said once it gets delivered I can check it out before dropping the money for something that wouldn't work

Just looking at the online photos, I bet you could make a Seek Outside Talon work using their gatekeepers on those two tabs at the bottom and two at the top.
