Hi All,
As my kids are getting bigger, I think I'll be needing a 3 person shelter. To date, I've used a tarp and bivy or a tarp and Paria Breeze 2P mesh tent to get up covered, but will probably need more space soon. I stumbled across the Kuiu 3P mesh tent and believe I could use it under my 10x10 tarp and be all in under 3lbs. Does anyone have any experience with a combo like this?
I do have a Golite Shangrila 5 and mesh inner that I can stuff all 5 of us in there and I believe it's around 5lbs w/o the pole.
Use case is primarily summer backpacking for now. Maybe we'll. Move into the fall in the coming years, but we're a bit out from that currently.
Any other set ups or ideas to consider?
