Their sales of late have been super disappointing. Few options, low inventory, less than desirable colors/patterns, etc.

It feels like instead of just moving stuff to the outlet they're trying to fill a half-effort attempt at running a sale.

Agree 100%. I've moved to a different brand.

The Yukon gloves are on sale again...I bought them last year during the sale and I really like them for whatever that's worth!

Although I am biased against KUIU from personal experiences, I think their "sales" models are subpar. Can get sitka gear from reputable sources at drastically lower prices.

I hear that Sitka just doesn't have the longevity for the price point. I don't own any though. Kuiu is good stuff, but I too believe their sales are a joke.

I have a lot of both. They are both very nice. The longevity of Sitka is just as good as the KUIU and maybe even better. I’ve worn out more KUIU than Sitka by a wide margin. KUIU claims to have lower prices because they don’t have to have a middle man but that just allows them to profit more directly. Personally I like KUIU pants more and Sitka jackets more. As far as KUIU sales....they haven’t been great lately.

It’s safe to say this topic is somewhat subjective and involves a decent amount of variability. The founder of Sitka also started Kuiu so I’d say there’s probably a lot of overlap.

Kuiu sales are indeed no longer awesome. A few years ago I bought a Large Yukon Jacket and Pants in Verde for 50% off during a sale. Deals like that are long gone.

Maybe they aren’t struggling to move inventory and don’t need to run a lot of sales.

Hey! The tiburon hip vents saved my
Life yesterday. It was 100 degrees and it felt like I turned on the ac when I pulled that eloquently placed vent zipper.
