Hey guys. I'm curious to know where everybody is positioning their lumbar pad on the newer Kuiu Pro Suspension.

I've currently got mine as high as the little tether on the bottom will allow.

Reference Measurements
Waist: 34"
Hip Belt Size: L/XL
Height: 6ft 1in
Torso Length: 18"
Carbon Fiber Frame Size: Tall

The higher you position the lumbar the more weight will be on your shoulders. I have it mid-range. At its highest position its possible for the bottom of the frame to be below the pad, allowing a pendulum effect as the top of the frame will lean away from you and the bottom of the frame towards you.

I have mine positioned pretty low also as it’s most comfortable.
I have not tried the additional foam insert yet but have been considering it to see how it feels also.

I adjustment mine depending on what I'm using the pack for. If I'm carrying weight or backpacking, I position it low on the frame. When I'm carrying light loads or day hunting, I like to let my belt sag down on my hips so moving the lumbar pad up is more comfortable when I do that.

I just picked up a used Kuiu pack and have the pad all the way down. I'm 6'-2" with a long torso.
