Looking for some help from guys that have both the kenai and the peloton 240 for warmth comparisons. I have a kenai but not a big fan of the fit in the arms so thinking about getting the 240 to replace it.

I have both and love the kenai and hate the peloton 240. To me the 240 is a waste of money. There are much better light weight insulation layers out there. It was supposedly wind resistant, and anything over a few mph blows right through it. It's really the only piece of kuiu gear I regretted buying. The kenai is many times warmer and I don't see them as comparible items.

I have not purchased the Kenai but I sent a peleton 240 back. Order a size up if you get it.

Reasons I sent it back: The body is cut to short. For me the arms seemed to long. I didn't like the hood, when its zipped on its restrictive at the neck. Its like its just not cut quite right.

I have a patagonia r1 hoody and the fit and quality of that piece are head and shoulders above the peleton. I hate patagonia but its just a way better piece and I dont need it in camo.

I have tried the Kenai on and its a cool jacket. So quiet for a "puffy" jacket. Seems very warm as well. However, its not compressible like a traditional puffy. I wanted one I can stuff in my pack when I dont need it. The Kenai is not that type of jacket in my opinion.

I've had the exact opposite experience with the Peloton 240. I think it is very wind resistant (we have plenty of wind in Wyoming) while also being fairly breathable. I think the fit is good. To me, it moves with me very well and the hood is not cumbersome. I don't own the Kenai, but I agree that they are for 2 different uses. I would imagine the kenai is much warmer.

IMO peleton is a waist unless you do a bunch of early season hunting and it never gets colder than needing a hoodie over a shirt. Now the Kenai is a different animal very warm over a base layer ,plus has pit zips. I can put on base layer and kenai and be done don't need anything else unless its pouring rain, Kenai will handle some light rain as is. Peleton wont handle rain and is not much more than a really thick shirt imo. If I want a light base layer jacket/shirt go with the insulated snap shirt you will be amazed how much you will use that shirt.

I wore my 240 peleton for 12 straight days on an Alaskan float hunt last Sept with day times highs in the mid to high 30's everyday. I wore a chama underneath and a primaloft vest over it and a rain jacket at times. Worked great, one of my favorite pieces of clothing. I dont have any experience with the Kenai but I think the Peleton is awesome and will probably pick up another one.

Peloton 240 is my one piece of clothing besides merino base layer that is always with me and usually on me. Wore it 40 plus days this past season from August through December. I jus layer accordingly under and to have that wind protection with great breathability makes for less time changing layers or suffering being too hot or too cold.

I have both the Kenai and the Peloton 240 hoody. Kenai is definitely warmer, but I like the 240. I disagree with the comment about it being short in the body and long in the arms. It's opposite of that if anything. The body is plenty long, I'm 6'2", and the arms are just long enough. I would prefer the arms to be a little longer but they're not bad. To me the Peloton is very comfortable and wind resistant. I wore it more than the Kenai last fall, but I like both. My only complaint on the 240 is that it seems to snag fairly easy and get fabric pulls. Not a huge issue.

I have both I like the Peloton 240 better. It's pretty wind resistant, I have yet to get chilled in it. Did a Pig hunt in February with a morning in the low 30's and was plenty warm in it with just the Kuiu Tiberon shirt underneath. Fit wise I wish all the Kuiu stuff fit like it. I'm 6'3 and the XL I have is plenty long, I normally size up with their stuff so I got the XL. All the other shirts I have by them in XL are boarder line belly shirts. I have the Kenai in XL it's a belly jacket on me. Now if I buy their pants in my normal size I look like Dwight Yoakam in them!

I have both. They are completely different animals. I'm not sure how to fairly compare them? I like them both, for different reasons. I could live in my pelaton year round! Definitely wind proof for sure. Get them both is my rec!!

I have both, including hooded and non-hooded versions of both. They are, to make the point again, very different pieces with different purposes. Kenai is primarily for insulation. Peloton is a versatile piece that provides some wind resistance, some warmth, and great breathability. I use both a lot, but find myself consistently wearing the Peloton 240 in a wide variety of situations, both as a mid and outer layer. The Kenai goes on when it is cold (for me 32 degrees and under), and even then can get too warm if hiking. In sum: Kenai is much warmer; Peloton is more versatile.
