Just took my pack off the carbon frame I got the other day. Noticed nothing is checked off on the QC tag...

Stuff like this bothers me. Is that usually checked off or did this slip through?

Whatever the answer is, I'm sure it's your fault :). Of course they checked it for QC, everything's is done to perfection at kuiu and nothing slips through the cracks, so you probably erased the info :)

Just thought I would follow up.

Nothing to worry about with the lifetime warranty against defects on the frame.

Do you speak Chinese? Maybe that will help since the pack was made there.

Good luck!

1. No one asked where it was made.

2. The frame is manufactured in CA, not China.

Really? Huh, that is strange. Seems like that does not jive with what is discussed out there: http://www.rokslide.com/forums/clothing/3668-kuiu-china.html

Or heck, ask Jason himself: KUIU Blog

They switched their vertical supply chain to include China (Toray).

So please show me your pack label from a recent purchase where it states it is not made in China? Hmm??

I was only pointing out how the quality of the KUIU products are declining due to this change in the vertical supply chain.

OP - thanks for following up.

Nevada. Ok......Bag is sewn in China. I never said it wasn't. FRAME is made by Rocket Composites in CA using Toray carbon fiber.

I'm not going to "source" that, feel free to look it up yourself. I don't log into Rokslide for "gotcha" posts and Internet drama. Especially ones that aren't factually correct. Point made, let's press on.......

Haha yep. The random Kuiu hate on this forum is astounding.

OP, I have dealt with Kuiu customer service over an issue with a product I bought (I had a shirt labeled the incorrect size) and they stood behind it 100%.

The production of textiles has been being outsourced en mass for 40+ years now. The Chinese know how to sew just as well as we do.

Judging by the label on my pack it seems as it was made in the US,none of the initials are in Chinese :)

What quality issues are you referring to?

Here is the company that made the carbon fiber

Sadly there are plenty that are loyal to a fault for specific brand and are so eager to tear any others down that facts don't seem to matter. I have dealt with Kuiu for about a year and have had nothing but great customer service from them. Never got a bad piece of clothing or gear from them, just good advice and had to return something I ordered in the wrong size.
