How do the Chinook Pants fit compared to the rest of the Kuiu line of pants. I have or have tried friends pants in Tiburon, Attack and Guide. I am a 34 in these without any room to spare. The Canada made Attacks in 36 are too big however the non Canada 36 Attacks I can wear and not feel like they are too loose in the waist. I have a pair of Alpines and I think the consensus on these is they fit a full size big. I got 34's and they fit identical to the non Canada Attacks. Do the Chinook Pants fit big like the Alpines or do they fit like the other 3?

The second part of this post is the use of the Chinooks. I have always used Military Surplus Wool Pants ($10 variety) as my late season hunting pants. I am contemplating getting the Chinook or Guide pants to replace my wool and fleece pants I would typically wear. With the grid fleece are the Chinooks versatile enough to stretch the limits both directions temperature wise and be useful over a wider range of conditions? Are the Guides close enough that the $50 lower price tag makes them the better option? If you had to pick on which do you choose and why. I envision these being used when my Alpines/Attacks won't cut it anymore with a light merino base layer in Western Montana. I hunt from Mid/Late August through Jan/Feb.
