If you use a hard case for your archery equipment put a big label on it with “bow and arrow” on it.

The Johannesburg airport for example has hired help who can help you get through customs much easier. They usually are wearing something that identifies them as people who have some sort of connection to the airport. After 2 days of traveling, it was worth the $5 to have a guy carry part of my luggage across the airport and go to the front of the check in line.

Keep small bills on you for tipping. Tipping goes a long ways when traveling.

Exchange your money before your final destination.

I worked as an apprentice PH in ZA and you learn the do’s and don’t’s after a few clients come through camp
