Kryptek Cadog jacket weight

Not sure on the actual weight part, but I don't think it's one to shave the weight. It's got pretty thick fleece lining on the inside for cold weather, I definitely wouldn't want to walk far with it on. Their Dalibor is more of a traditional soft shell and would no doubt be lighter than the cadog. I've found myself ditching the soft shells for the most part however in the backcountry and sticking with the rain jacket to be used as a soft shell with a down jacket or vest underneath... but that's just my preference.

Yes, I just read the 4 page threat on the opinions of a soft shell or not.

My take on it: for example - the first week of November in Colorado. You're hunting mule deer, hiking, moving around, glassing, could be thick vegetation. It's cold, but you're still moving around some. Could be some blowing snow and/or possibly a small snow storm. I don't think you want your puffy and rain jacket on at this time - it's going to be too warm for that and you'd spend half your day taking on and off layers. And I don't think you want a puffy alone. And I don't think you want a rain jacket alone. Soft shell is perfect here.
