I've got a like new Kowa TSN-88a scope that I purchased brand new last year. The scope has spent 99% of its life indoors surveying the Boise foothills from my home. On occasion, I've taken it out when I've found nesting birds worth watching.
As an optics nerd, I couldn't resist the Kowa but ultimately I'm happier with binoculars so it is time to move it along. My preference is to sell locally, in Boise, ID. However, I will ship if need be. Although I'm new to the Rokslide forum, I have plenty of references in other places where nice glass is bought and sold (Bird Forum, Photrio, GetDPI, ebay, etc). All prices are net to me. I'll split shipping on the scope (it's a big box) but the other pieces CONUS shipping included.
Reach out with questions. I consider a phone call essential and a zoom/FaceTime ideal. Local buyers get $100 off. Would love to find a single buyer for the lot and will give a discount for that, too.
1. Kowa TSN-88A with TE-1WZ II and stay on cover. Purchased new, registered to Kowa under my name. Scope is mint - no marks on the glass, no signs of wear beyond fingerprints on the body some light wear on the eyecup. SOC case shows a little more wear as I sought to stretch it out some, new these things are so tight you can't even slide the hood out. SOC is navy blue. All caps, soft pouches, boxes, and details in place. Price is $2700 net to me. More pictures here.
2. Kowa Extreme Wide Eyepiece TE-80XW - an incredible optic with a truly extraordinarily wide fov, great sharpness, great color. Must be seen. More pictures here. $550
3. Kowa TSN-EX16 1.6x eyepiece extender. Crazy to have a Kowa and not have this, especially for birding. More pics here. $275
