I know this tent isnt what would normally be discussed here but I was looking for some info. My youth ministry was gifted two Barneys Bombshelter Kodiak Condos. I have been doing some Google searches and couldn't find much. What is the difference between the regular bombshelter and the kodiak condo? I havent had a chance to pull one out and set it up yet.

I know guys who stayed in an Arctic Oven on Kodiak Island during a five day storm say they were thankful they were not in a Kodiak Condo. They had seen a group using one get beat up in high wind. That's all I know.

I realize this is an old thread but I googled Kodiak condo tents and this was one of the first links to pop up. I was actually interested in buying one after spending a few nights in one on Kodiak that I had rented on a goat hunt. We were lucky and had good weather minus one windy day but the thing seemed sturdy as hell for the weight and had a good amount of room. They were made by Barney’s sports chalet out of anchorage and I can’t imagine those guys making anything subpar, unfortunately they stopped making them a few years back.

I have also used an arctic oven but only in the winter at about -30f with a wood stove and that thing was great as well we were actually sweating in it. I don’t remember the weight but it seemed quite a bit heavier I’m guessing due to the liner.

Anyways if anyone is looking to sell a Kodiak condo I would be definitely be interested.
