Knight ultra light destroying primers

Hey guys I got a new ultra light 45 cal. I have a little over 50 rounds threw it , I use black horn powder 110 grains and Winchester 209 primers. When I went out shooting yesterday day I was getting sprayed in the face with debris when I shoot. As I started looking around here the gun was destroying primers when it goes off. The gun still shoots great but on the primer end it’s a disaster. Is the firing pin hitting to hard? The two times I fired it with no powder and bullet in the barrel it didn’t destroy the primer. And I can see day light when looking threw the breach plug so that’s not clogged. Have any of you guys seen this before ? Iam sort of in a high line bind due to I leave for Iowa after Christmas and I really wanna get this fixed before I leave. Thanks in advance for any suggestions and ideas.

I have a FPJ Knight as well. Mine is the "plunger" style Bighorn, but I have noticed something similar. I found I couldn't unscrew the "secondary" safety out all the way, or I would get a lot more "shrapnel" or debris from the shot. But if I screw it in "just enough" to fire the primer, I don't get any of the debris mess. So...worth a try, maybe play with how far out you unscrew the secondary safety and see if that helps.

You should weigh it and see what it is at. My volume charge was actually way over the max weight.

Just curious about what bullet you are shooting? I would either weigh the charge or drop down to 100 grains volume and see what happens

If your measuring in the BLack horn tubes with the orange caps they are way off your probably over the recommended 84 grains by weight

He’s probably waiting to hear back from Knight. Their CS leaves a lot to be desired. They don’t even have a phone number you can call anymore.
