I'm probably not the right guy to ask about that. For one, my hearing isn't great to begin with. For two, I could give a rat's behind what the pad sounds like. So, somewhere between not bad at all and way too loud? I think the reputation noise-wise is that these aren't generally as loud as some of the Thermarest options, but you'd probably want to check that across some other sources. I will say the fabric on top of the pad has a soft hand, if that helps at all. Sorry I don't have better input on this one.
