Just ran across a good deal on a Montana in .270. Anyone have experience with this pairing? In looking at the Kimber website they no longer offer the Montana in .270.

Mine was 6 3/4 scoped with Leupold 6x42 in Talleys.

It’s a bad ass rifle.

I have kimber classic in 270. It's such a sweetheart. Loves 140 accubonds and has enough freebore and mag length that you can play with load lengths.

My Montana in 7-08 is an absolute joy to carry and shoot. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a 270 if I were in the market.

I just picked up one in 30-06 yesterday. It’s a hair over 6 pounds with Talleys and a 2.5-8x36 leupold. Bought it with the intention of punching it out to 338-06 but I may just leave it alone. A 270 Montana would be a great lightweight rig, if the price is right, snag it!

It's a great chambering in the Montana. I didn't realize they have stopped making them.
