I really don't find the meat shelf to be an issue. After using my Exo 5500 and packing out somewhere around 100 critters, I've found the Kifaru Reckoning just as good. As I said before, a little more complicated in some ways but more robust and versatile in others. I've only carried about six animals out with the Reckoning so far since October 2022.
