I have a hunter frame on order with aluminum stays. Where it was tough for me to decide was between the tactical and hunter. I just switched from Stone Glacier, so the carbon arrow stays didn't excite me at all.

The SG carbon is much stronger and thicker than the arrows Kifaru uses. If you have a good curve in your back, straight arrows may not be the best option?

I got the UL, but have aluminum stays also. I am running 2 arrows per side. Tried my aluminum stays, but I like the arrows better for me.

I'm running the UL version. Bought it with aluminum stays but tossed them the day I slid arrows into it. Love the flex of the arrows with light loads and how stiff it gets when carrying a heavy load. Had 100# bag of sand in it yesterday for a treadmill workout and it felt great. (Not so great on my legs and hip flexors). Arrow shafts are great!

Running tactical here love it glad I went this route both are capable of handling more weight then most any of us can carry but I am a fan of the stiffer board. Can't go wrong either way.

I run the Hunter frame, tried the arrow stay kit but the arrows are not for me, I like a more solid frame and the arrows do flex. Plus I got a butt so straight stays just don't work for me.

Not trying to hijack the thread but can someone explain why they chose aluminum vs composite stays? I bought a Mtn. Rambler and plan to use it for 1-3 day hunts. I need to buy a frame and I'm leaning towards a Duplex hunter frame with composite stays. When I haul meat it's usually a heavy load over longer distances. Pros and cons to composite vs aluminum? Is it just a weight savings? Is the tactical frame burlier than the hunter frame and worth considering?
Sorry if this redundant, but I'm new to Kifaru packs and need to make a decision soon.
