Kifaru pack belt question

I just received my new Late Season pack. I wear size 34-36 jeans so put down a 35" waist on my order. When I strap the waist belt, there is no slack left to grab onto to cinch up, the end of the belt is all the way against the plastic power pull retainer. How much distance should there be when the belt is cinched up between the padded belt ends? I am thinking I need a larger belt? Let me know if what I am asking is not clear.

That doesn't sound right. Did they send you a S or a M belt? Where does the belt padding hit the point of your hips? Are you one of those guys that can squeeze into 34" jeans but has a big belly that hangs over your belt?

LOL, I'm not much for squeezing into jeans, too uncomfortable, but my belly does hang over my belt! Not sure what size they sent as their is no tag, but the padded belt portion measures 32 1/2" measured center of belt from end to end if that helps.

You may have a different "taper" than the average Kifaru customer, so you may have gotten the wrong size. You should have ~ a palm width of webbing or more outside of the power pull retainer for that feature to be functional.

Call me or the shop tomorrow and we'll swap it out.

same thing has happened to me twice. ordered a timberline 2 and had to swap out the belt for a smaller one. bought a spike camp and again the belt is too big. hip and waist measurements were supplied with both orders. i can easily bottom out the adjustment on the spike camp belt. the new timberline belt is fine now.

Same thing happened to me not long ago. For whatever reason someone must be scissor happy at Kifaru and is cutting things way to short? I had to be sent a new belt.
